Before replacing the filter on the FIAT PUNTO (188) make sure that the fuel tank is filled no more than 3/4 of its volume.
Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
Clean the surface around the filter before use.
When replacing the filter on the FIAT PUNTO (188) prevent fuel from getting on coolant hoses.
Fuel supply line is pressurized! Before opening the hose connection cover it with a thick cloth. Then reduce the pressure by careful disconnection of the hose. Wear protective glasses.
Please note, it is important not to mix up the filter sides. Arrows on the filter indicate the fuel flow direction.
Dampen a new filter O-ring with clean fuel.
Tighten the fuel filter cover fastening bolts on the FIAT PUNTO (188) in cross order.
Before the start be sure to bleed the fuel system to prevent the air inleakage.
